Mad World

Ehh.

This is, surprisingly, one of the few times I am unhappy with a drawing simply because of how it scanned. It looks much better in person, even though I messed up the nose. And possibly the lips.

I wanted to show you all that I'm not dead, I'm just very busy. So I took this old picture--I'd done the outline about a year ago, and that's the hard part--so all I had to do was the shading, which is not hard at all.

Oh, and it's Alexis Bledel, by the way.

I was thinking about entering it in that unique portraits contest [link] but I don't think it's unique enough. I mean, it's a picture of Alexis Bledel. Big deal.

It's not even a very good picture of Alexis Bledel. (I do blame that partly on the scan, though. Dang it.) I think it looks more like her in person.

Anyways. Not happy.

EDIT: I updated the scan. I think it shows the drawing more accurately now, though maybe not perfectly. The other one was way too pale, and the shading wasn't shown to the highest advantage. Not sure that it is here either, but it's worth a shot. The drawing is definitely way darker than that other scan showed. An improvement, I think.
